Our Client, Teck Resources Elkview Mining operations is one of our four steelmaking coal operations in the Elk Valley. Elkview produces steelmaking coal. The current annual production capacities of the mine and preparation plant (on a 100% basis) are approximately 7.0 million and 7.0 million tonnes of clean coal, respectively.
Our client is a leading worldwide shipping group founded in 1978 and has a global presence thanks to its numerous vessels calling various ports all over the world.
Our Clients site is located on the eastern shore of Lake Huron near Tiverton, Ontario. Ontario’s Long-Term Energy Plan is counting on our client to provide reliable and affordable energy through 2064. To do so, they have signed a long-term agreement with the province to refurbish six of its eight units.
